5.3.2.A ASSIGNMENT – Tree Width Calculation

Instructions:
For this assignment, you will practice calculating tree width as outlined in lesson 5.3.2. Perform two calculations using a bare tree or old saddle. Mark the tree point length on your template, measure the horse at that point, and compare it to the tree width (steel-to-steel). Use the “minus 2 cm” reference to analyse the difference and determine a functional starting point.

If you have TreeClix, you may optionally install it on a bare tree and experiment with different settings.

Document your process clearly: upload photos of your template with markings, your tree width measurements, and your notes. Write the calculated widths directly on the template form.

Note: the total size of all uploaded files must stay under 20 MB.
Each upload field below is limited to 3 MB.

Tree Width Calculation – Case 1

    1. Tree Width Calculation (Required)

    2. Comparison and Analysis (Required)

    3. Optional: TreeClix Experiment

Did you install TreeClix on the bare tree?

Tree Width Calculation – Case 2

    1. Tree Width Calculation

If you typically use a ribbed flexicurve, make sure to also create a template with a smooth flexicurve for each horse. Draw both tracings on one template form. If you only use a smooth flexicurve you can skip this step. Continu with Step 3.

    2. Comparison and Analysis

    3. Optional: TreeClix Experiment

    TreeClix used?

    Final Reflection (Optional)
