Our journey began when our founder, Frank Baines, started his apprenticeship in 1964 at just 15 years old. After learning the art of saddle making, he and his wife Jane, a skilled leather machinist, began producing saddles in their kitchen after the factory where he worked burned down. Quickly gaining recognition as one of the world’s premier saddle makers, they moved their operations to a workshop in Walsall, the heart of the leather and saddle making industry.
Today, Frank’s legacy lives on through his children, Garry and Victoria, who continue the traditions as Directors of Frank Baines Saddlery.
